I, am a self-taught artist from Appleton, Wisconsin. I feel extremely fortunate to have found a true passion in my life.
My figures are a way of combining all of my interests into one art form. I love to sculpt, sew, work with wood, and shop 'till I drop!
Being able to alternate all of these activities, ensures that I am never bored. Each day brings a new adventure.
When I am finally satisfied that all is right…then my "babies" come to life. I hope you enjoy meeting them.
My Santa's are one-of-a-kind Sculptures. I begin with wood & wire armatures for their bodies. Then, sculpt their faces & hands (also wire armature inside) high quality polymer clay.
Their eyes are beautiful, fade-resistant glass; and the hair & beards are either 100% English mohair or wool.
Their costumes are constructed using patterns that I design to fit each Santa's
individual body. I use only recycled & faux furs, and shop for just the right mix of fabrics, & accessories.
