The sweet faces and wonderful expressions of each Santa creation have spoken to long time collectors and those new to art dolls as well. In addition to the character given by the careful sculpting of the face, Lisa's creations are also considered "Story Pieces" due to the detail in the scenes she places them in. Tiny details and hidden elements, rich fabrics and unique accessories, bring these scenes to life.
Two specific themes seem to have struck an especially strong note with Grand Father Claus fans- the Beach Santa and the Claus n' Paws pieces. Lisa's beach Santas feature a sand covered base and have additional sculpted elements such as little feet and bare pot bellies. The Claus n' Paws pieces couple each Santa character with a canine friend. These scenes intertwine the Santa legend with the characteristics of the dog. Each dog is also sculpted by the artist and is as detailed as the Santa himself.
